Through a comprehensive written exam measuring technical expertise and successfully submitting my work to a panel of judges for review and approval I obtained the status of a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP). This status is recognized throughout the industry and held by less than 3% of all imaging professionals. I am also certified by Special Kids Photography of America (SPKA), with specific training to sensitively work with children with special needs.

I am an active member of the Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area (PPGBA) and have served on its Board of Directors including as its 2009 President. I am also a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), where I currently serve as a Councilor, and of California (PPC). Professional organizations help me to excel by providing me with access to new trends and technologies as well as to a network of great colleagues.

People fascinate me, and my passion is photographing them. I take my time, put my subjects at ease, let them have fun, and aim to create images that truly capture their personalities. I believe that the process has to be enjoyed for the product to be excellent. I work with people of all ages and sizes in my studio, on location and at events.

While the goal of my work is to create images for my clients and myself, I have been fortunate in that some of my photographs have been recognized in competitions from the regional to the international level. I have won a few awards and my work has been shown in group exhibitions and featured in publications in Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.
